Posted January 1st, 2006 05:39 PM IP Once again, for what I can only hope is the last time, i've been struck with an idea. Remember how Nintendo writer had the SMBDS (or whatever the acronym was) ? That collaborative series of mario bros. "episodes?" I think it would be interesting if this website had something like that...what do you guys think? If some people are interested, please say so. (If you don't know what the hell i'm talking about, I think there are a few of the aforementioned stories in Mewd's section on this website...) back with a vengeance!!...or not

I'm conjuring ideas as we speak...
Typey-speakthing.
There are three ways of dealing with time travel in Doctor Who (you might want to print this out for future use.)
1. Look, it's just a story, time travel is completely impossible, the whole thing's a farrago of lies, ooh, look at those monsters.
2. Time can only sometimes be rewritten, and the Doctor has a vast and terrible Time Brain that allows him to see when events can be altered and when they are fixed, but for us mere mortals, such insight would turn our brains to soup, ooh, look at those monsters.
3. Ooh, look at those monsters!
I like 3. It's quicker.

Posted January 3rd, 2006 06:29 PM IP Ooh ooh! May I partake in this outing or is it too late?
If you want me to serve as dead weight to your idea and make you realize that you don't like it as much as you thought you would, I have some ideas:
1- Perhaps make this some kind of strange cross-over story featuring a bunch of fictional characters in one story (I'd say video game reality TV show but that'd sound redudandt coming from the guy who writes MK Minions and I'm not sure if just video games would appeal as much as multiple genres)
2- Okay, I know this is a bit steep but how about we (provided you accept me) make this bigger than an Epic Tale thing. Personally, if it doesn't end up on the Studios I just can't get around to reading it.
Those are my ideas. Now would be the best time to decide whether or not you want me as I will wreck an unheard of havoc on you if I am left to take matters into my own hands! Master Chief

I guess I could help out with this little project. Maybe as a frequent 'guest writer' or something. Kinda like how Mewd was for SMBSDS.

This is gonna be so good...
Why not just write weird, different stories with no relation to each other but with the Same Characters (And maybe Cameos).

I just wanted to have a spot where I could show off this idea to other people and get them to join. I figure if there are a bunch of people working on this, "episodes" will come up more frequently. back with a vengeance!!...or not

Posted January 4th, 2006 05:52 PM IP Flippin' sweet! Look at all the people we have! Looks like that pill I put in ProZD's water supply finally kicked in. Okay, now that we've established that it shall have "episodes," may or may not have a continuing story, and the fact that we have no idea who to cast in it, how's about we set some foundations? I'd say the most important thing to establish would be...uh...characters? I gave you my ideas so how many people here have better ideas for a cast than me? Master Chief

Posted January 4th, 2006 07:50 PM IP Personally, I'm against a continuing story. It makes it harder to have several people writing at a time, and so forth. I pictured sort of a cheesy, cartoon like plot-you know, even the most bizarre and random events have no effect on the next one...
As for the characters? I have no clue. I was thinking mario theme but that seems like more of a ripoff now that I know everyone's seen SMBSDS. Who would you guys like to see in a stupid series?
I'm so indecisive... back with a vengeance!!...or not

Posted January 5th, 2006 05:09 PM IP OK. To NB's question, I believe a continuing cast would work well, although it would be up to the author around which characters appeared- (throwing yourself in as a cameo would be fine)
And, to Hylian Lemon, SMBSDS stands for (to the best of my knowledge) The Super Mario Bros. Super DUPER Show, which was a very random series of script-based (GASP) stories at Nintendo Writer- I never wrote for them , but the series was very funny and turned out well...I think.
As I said earlier (you probably missed it) A few episodes are in Mewd's section of this website. back with a vengeance!!...or not

Maybe loads of Video Game characters get shoved into a weird other dimension...
So we can just play around.

Posted January 6th, 2006 10:32 PM IP Yeah, that could possibly work, as long as the crossover method isn't misused, as it can often be at times. And it doesn't have to make sense why they're all there. They're just there...and then the craziness ensues.
Those are my thoughts, anyway. I know not who you are, or who they are, but I do know that you're standing on my lawn. GET OFF MY DAMN PROPERTY!
