I took that picture from an upstairs window a couple of years ago, I think. With a zoom lens, admittedly, but it is a lovely view, it's nice living near the top of a hill looking over a river valley.

A nice idea, Betty, but I think I need to take one with better contrast, and a bit sharper too. I could do with a summer version of the same scene - must do that soon!

It is a blackbird, I think - it's sat on the roof of a house that is much nearer than the background! I carefully cropped the picture to leave out the houses...
