speaking of water, i got to have a close look at the mayor's chain of office last thursday night ... it has wavy thin chains attached to the main heavy chain to represent the waters of the Trent ... and the from has a minature of the Queens grandad (he granted us city status) and this is surrounded by diamonds, emeralds and rubies

today i went to one of the Trent side villages to check if we had dongle covereage there.
I asked the branch member I'd met there, if he had a decent mobile signal .. 'we don't use mobiles here' he said .. ah but is there a good signal i replied ...
come with me ... he took me onto the landing of his house, opened the window, leant out and then said some days we can get 1 bar on the signal strength from up here
