What the hell does that mean? Just because "H-Town" came up with a goofy new class means that noone else will follow along?
Here is my take....
we say drop the USRA classes unless the nats are in Texas. So, on a year of the nats, we get six races to test and buy and balance new setups for the nats. That doesn't make sense. The rest of the world races nats style classes and it was evident they had a handle on things at the nats. Take boxstock. In Pro, the NY'ers kicked our butts. Why, because they have raced and tested those cars at 72 grams for years. Simple. Amature BS was the same. You could see that the hometown guys were not prepared for the 72 gram cars.
I for one want to keep the USRA class so when I make the trip to VA, I am ready with tried and tested equipment. What good does it to "think outside the box" in this instance? Let's face, TSRA or USRA is NOT a beginners wing class here.
Alslo, three classes on Sunday is fine. we just need to tighten it up and stay on schedule. (Except in OK, **** that lunch was good. And the entertainment, I never realized David Watkins could win American Idol. LOL
