i've just heard that there have been some changes to the USRA rules.

1. Ban speed rubber, except qualifying. Our rules states that if USRA bans it, so would the TSRA.

2. Am BS12 will now be spray glue. I feel that we need to following the USRA on this one, since it will help us prepare for the NATS. TSRA BS12 could still be a glue class, since we are the only ones that run this and the other 2 classes on Sunday are glue.

I will be updating the rules and reposting them this weekend. We are still 4 weeks away from our first race in Dallas, so everyone has plenty of time to make any adjustments. Please pass along this information to your fellows racers that may not be keeping up the this board. I will try to contact as many racers as i can.

it's not the one with the fastest car, it's who refuses to lose...R.E.

wow, thats a huge change. i know you prefer non glue bottle racing, is this something we need to vote on? if this comes to a vote, i would vote no. tracks like roms almost require it, someone tried to spray glue it for a boxstock race one time and we ended up having to clean the whole track off before we could even race. maybe i have just not seen it done properly before a boxstock race. i would just rather glue. just my 2 cents

Well I don't want to be running in glue if we aren't going to be doing it at the NATS, it doesn't make any sense. I don't like the change at all, but if we're trying to prepare for the NATS in August, then I see no other choice then to change.

The on Line Vote for the 2008 USRA Rules changes voted in Spray Glue for both Spec 15 and Amateur GP-12.
All Saturday Racing will be Spray Glue and all Sunday Racing will be Limited Glue.
That just means you will not have to do as much in between heats get you an easy chair and rest.
Just put 2 bottles of Camen Brown per Quart of Coleman instead of 1 for GP-12.
I don't think it will be problem for the 1st Race in Dallas. I just bought a new Spray Bottle this week and I think I can make it work.

Well atleast my World Record might stand for alot longer...getting speed rubber or monster hub 36's to hook up on 16 volts without glue may be a little difficult.

Yeah, its kind of discouraging really. The year PA gets the NATS, we go to spray glue to possibly the biggest class that will be raced at the nats by Texas racers.

What has been stated on this board is a rumor. I spoke with Larry Blanton, USRA Wingcar Director, on Saturday. He asked everyone to refrain from any comments about the USRA Online Voting Results. He just received the preliminary info from Chris on Thursday and the count has to be validated. He hopes to have the results posted this week.

Did anyone save a copy of the rules?

What arms are legal for ACF and NASCAR?

Remember, two wrongs don't make a right..... but three lefts do! Only you're a block over and one block behind!
