not sure where the wording came up for this one, but i think the original idea was to do away with post race tech (not random) and replace with teching at the beginning of heat #8 with still having pre race and random tech.

it's not the one with the fastest car, it's who refuses to lose...R.E.

that would sound better to me. i am not in favor of not being able to random check. even as honest as some people are, if you tell them no one can tech their car til the 8th heat...game on...

but even then, how will that effect a round robin with 12 people? its somebodies 8th heat after 8 heats...right?

The proposal -as Shelby & I talked about it- was to tech the cars before the 8th heat instead of after the race ended.This is to prevent drivers from being disqualified-especially USRA B/S 12 Racers that have to maintain the 72 gram weight minimum-in the post race tech.
