I emailed and received this back:
Thank you for your interest in auditioning for the FX Network show
"Wilfred"! We have received your email and we're now getting back to
you.
This popular new comedy series starring Elijah Wood is now casting
major roles for its second season which begins production in
Mid-March.
We need to ask you a few quick questions to determine if you might be
right for any of the roles being cast.
1) What decade were you born?
2) What age range would you be best able to play?
3) What's your gender?
4) Briefly describe any previous acting experience you've had, such as
student films, online videos, television acting, or live theater.
5) What is a daytime cell phone number where you can be reached?
Please reply back as soon as possible with the answers to the above questions.
We will read over your response and determine if any roles might be
suitable for you.
We look forward to hearing back from you today.

Talent Call
------------------
I NEVER give out my number to a post off of craigslist without researching first. Guess what I found?!
- "This individual targets people on craigslist and offers a service that doesn't exist. Changes domain every few weeks, months!"
- "Scam Alert: Talent Call
Watch out for emails form The Talent Call from Tracey Lerner. Its a total Scam. Similar looking emails used to come The Actors Club. They advertise a real film with big stars, then email and call you about being perfect for a role. Then they direct you to a website where they want $$$. Dont fall for it."

Posted June 3rd, 2012 01:22 PM IP Thanks for the info. Scammers suck!
I just got an email from a "literary agent" I used back in 2003 that took me for $2,700 and now has a new scam going, regarding self publishing.
Thanks to her, when I became an actor, I learned what to look for. This is why I am so vocal about agents who take your money upfront. Yeah, you know who you are. You got me for another grand and you suck too!
I am now in the process of turning over this scammer's info to the detectives who were investigating her last time. Maybe this time, we can put her ass in jail where it belongs, along with all the other scammers out there. D.A. Posted June 14th, 2012 10:05 AM IP Snarkie,
check out fbi.gov
There is a section where you can report this information - federal authorities are much more likely to crack down on this than local ones(time, money, etc.) and it can't hurt to spread the word to anyone or any group that could help stop them, specifically if they are using the internet to do their scheming (again, local authorities have less capability and the fbi is incredibly interested in tracking online predators, which is what most of them are.)
Also, ripoffreport.com is another great way to post your information. Once their name or company's name is on that site, along with a few additional "key" words, anyone who googles that company or person's name will most likely see the link to your report in the first page of results (usually within the first 2 or 3 pages, from what I have seen)
www.ripoffreport.com
I have used this site....it it's free and it can only help.

Posted June 28th, 2012 10:17 AM IP OMG thanks for the heads up Christy. Yesterday I got an email just like that from Tracy & I almost fell for it again. I'm not only disappointed, but this type of stuff makes me angry. People misleading aspiring talents like us just so they can put food on their tables. I'm sick & tired of the scams & yet this maybe he 9th or tenth one for me. These type of people give the REAL ones bad reps. Now you don't know who's really who they say they are because people are all about a dollar these days. WE ARE SICK OF THIS!! We want the REAL auditions where its free like its supposed to be. Nobody goes into the industry with money. The majority of people are broke. Now that. We want the free open calls in our cities & none of these talent management websites. Hello. Im very new to this website so this is just a test to see if my image has been uploaded correctly.

Posted July 21st, 2012 07:35 PM IP I have been getting these Tracy Lerner e-mails on and off for a long while. I just keep reporting them to spam@uce.org So far it hasn't help stop them yet. I have gotten a lot of spam in general lately. So very irritating. I have been reading the privacy info. on sites that I use more and opting out on ads, etc. Hope it helps. C. Sewell

Posted August 10th, 2012 09:04 PM IP Gosh darn it! I just replied to one of the Tracy Lerner scams...I thought is was a legitimate call for "The Mentalist" I sent my resume and cell #. Then I got the above form letter with Tracy Lerner's name on it. I guess I'll just have to send everything that comes in now to junk mail or block them. Anything else I can do to avoid further entanglement??
