Posted October 5th, 2006 09:56 PM IP as I write this message, the Signature feature here at Support seems to be disabled. that might be a temporary decision by the boss, but it also means that many members are not able to actively promote their very own EXCOBOARD as easily because a link or banner in their Signature is no longer visible.
it is my hope that by writing this simple article that everyone can atleast do one very simple action in order to keep your EXCOBOARD accessible to all who visit these support forums.
the basic solution is to just make certain you've included a link to your EXCOBOARD in your Profile. it seems obvious, however I noticed sometimes it is overlooked.(here's how to do it in case you never have done it before) - (1) - scroll up to the top of this page, and click on My Account
- (2) - click on Profile
- (3) - type in your password, then go to the second textfield to type in your password again
- (4) - scroll down to the textfield for Homepage and erase the http:
- (5) - type in the full URL of your very own EXCOBOARD
- (6) - scroll down and press Submit
bada-bing! your EXCOBOARD shall now be seen by anyone who clicks on the WWW button (which appears in each posting you make, or by clicking the link that appears on your Profile page) eventhough I cannot deem this message to be crucial enough to be included in the Tutorial Index, I still hope that helps somebody in the meantime while our Signatures are disabled.
(if it's not EXCOBOARD, then it's not worth discussing)

Posted October 5th, 2006 11:28 PM IP I've already added it at How To: as there are people who don't know how to do it at all.

Posted October 6th, 2006 04:05 PM IP Maybe its just me but I always assumed most people here even newbs already had thier boards in the WWW tab under our avatars.I know that nine times outta ten when I click them if they go to thier respective boards. But this will be helpful for many that don't know about that feature. Good Post.
PS: I am actually in favor of no sigs here cause in the long run it's a Support Forum.I think if you want to advertise your board that's what the Show off section is for

sometimes people here at Support do quickly add their EXCOBOARD to the WWW button, however I've seen instances where a member did not erase the existing HTTP
therefore the link was not valid
but I do thank you for the compliment and you made an excellent point that I overlooked about the Show Off section. (very good point indeed)

Posted October 9th, 2006 12:34 PM IP ohhh thats how its done. D&D Played to the Max, A Gamer's Paradise Site dedicated to the legendary Dungeons and Dragons RPG and miniatures game.
Millions of thanks to: Catchow, Seb, Shellspere, Orpheas, and Sage for all thier help with my questions on adding to/fixing my board.
It IS NOT Catchow to blame! It is ME!! Blame me, it is all my fault!!
If your board has problems blame me!
