I know we sound like a stuck record about this, but a few people have messed up their boards recently when adding scripts etc to their boards, so here is another reminder.

TEST BOARD

Create another board to use as a test board. You can mess around with things without your main board being blown if you make a mistake.

BACK UP TEMPLATES BEFORE MAKING ANY CHANGES.

Once you have created a test board, it is important to back all the templates up as you go along on your test board and main board. This will ensure that if you do make a mistake you will have all your hard work backed up. It is preferable to have it saved to disk in case your pc crashes.

I know this seems like a lot of hard work, but from experience, it is way better than losing your whole forum. I am sure that the experienced coders have test boards to mess around on too.

Remember that scripts and things can be found here, but once the content of your forum is lost, it cant be replaced.
