Yeah...

Have ya noticed, the Nova Code Generator has a choice of only 6 or 7 colors ???
So... if any of those colors clash with your background,
then yeah... you have an even less choice of usable colors.

So... which idiot (with nothin better to do with his life)
spent the last 3 1/2 hours coding EVERY color (recognisable by name)
into the Nova Code Generator. lol
(Please don't anyone tell me to: "Get a Life")

You'll find it here coz it wont load properly as a board message:

1. Right-click to download (save target as):

http://f-jh.no-ip.org:81/s/host/seb.../extracolors.js

2. Read it with notepad.

3. Cut & paste it (the javascript) into the <body> of your page.
(no editing required)

This will work either in the custom templates...
or... in the footer box on the styles page.

Easy... Justin

Catchow: Justin you really need to get a life! *thinks seb needs a life too*

Super Novocode Generator in copy/paste form

*pss. . . Mahud figured out how to make it even easier to copy and paste. A huge thank you to Mahud.

HAHA! I gotta laugh at this one! DAMN IE! Makes seb look crazy again! ROFLMAO!!!

I downloaded a plugin so I can view pages like IE in firefox. IE doesn't allow people to view pages in txt.

I am trying to figure out what type of page I should convert it into.

EDIT: I converted it into a javascript file Sorry you cannot view the page in your IE browser window. Clicking on the link will ask you to download it. You will have to open it using WordPad or Notepad...

Should work:
http://f-jh.no-ip.org:81/s/host/seb.../extracolors.js

There are also plenty of scripts that run in IE but don't run in FF.

Im not saying IE is a bad browser. Its just IE isn't a safe one. It lets everything buy. That is most causes of why your computer is slow or ur full of adware/spyware. IE doesn't block it while FF does.
IE is the #1 browser in the world. The only reason it is, it is because IE came with every Windows. If you look on a Windows, you WILL see IE. If you don't, that user uninstalled it.

Actually Seb I don't think that it is possible to unistall it because it is so integrated into windows. Besides that, I have tried to get windows updates on other browsers but the windows updater doesn't seem to recognize anything but IE.

I use a variation of IE that is tabbed and has closed a lot of the holes in IE. I dont have many of the problems that you mentioned because of this. I also use other software to protect me from some of the things that may find their way through. ff just makes me crazy because things look so different in it and many sites can't be enjoyed using it. And the truth is that ff blocks many scripts that are perfectly harmless. So it is a good idea when using scripts that you make sure that both browsers can read the script. There are lots of other browsers out there too like Opera and Safari and of course AOL and others. It would be impossible to test them all on every script though. Saying that a script is crossbrowser ignores the fact of all the other browsers out there.

Goodbye to all my friends.

the same thing goes for the idea of why IE is also the most targetted - it's most popular - same thing with windows - but - with updates of windows XP (windowsupdate) - and the fact of the new IE coming - if anyone has read it - it's so secure it's not even funny -

if something does find a hole in the NEW IE - it will not be able to even exectue itself - NOW HOW SMART IS THAT _ and tabbing is also available -

but one thing i always liked IE better than others for - IT WORKS with everything!

i used to like netscape before it was taken over by a mozilla operator - then it became crap b/c it was like a step back in time - it didn't work with everything - basically another firefox/mozilla (i'm thinking mozilla is the right term) look-alike - and quite frankly - it just doesn't cut it....

and considering u should always have a firewall installed anyway on your computer - there's nothing unsafe about using IE when using your firewall - thanks -

I find Opera much better than Firefox and IE, it looks better, script support is better and I barely get a cookie anymore, although my pc is fully firewalled up with Zonealarm and Peerguardian, I've tried netscape and I liked the way you could switch between IE and Firefox modes but it felt luggish on my pc and not as responsive as the other browsers.

Actually yes there is If you go in ADD/REMOVE Programs in your control panel. Then on the left side of it you will see Add/Remove Windows Components. Then uncheck internet explorer and it will be gone when you click next.

IE is in the oporating system. You can browse the internet from any open window whether it is MyDocuments or MyPictures, whatever. Sometimes it is possible to reinstall the components that give you the regular IE interface but I didn't get it to work on my last system. http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...spx?kbid=318378

If there is a problem in the interface of IE removing it may help. But it is very involved. I think tre really is no way to remove IE from XPp only disable the usual interface.

"By default, Internet Explorer 6 is preinstalled in all versions of Windows XP and cannot be removed. To provide computer manufacturers more flexibility in configuring desktop versions of Windows XP, Microsoft has made it possible for OEMs, administrators, and users to remove user access to Internet Explorer while leaving the Internet Explorer code intact and fully functional to make sure the functionality of programs and operating system functions that rely on it. For example, Windows XP supports an "IEAccess=off" switch in the Unattend.txt file, and Internet Explorer has been added to the Add/Remove Windows Components section of the Add/Remove Programs tool in Control Panel. This does not reinstall Internet Explorer."

Well, the windows in one browser is technically a good thing, considering if you want to multi-task. An easy way to show is to right-click and choose Site tab on the thing. But Firefox sounds pretty neat, anyway. The only trouble is, it seems to hate scripts. Slimbrowser has trouble with very few scripts. But if you like it, you can have it that way.
I recently made a skin for Slimbrowser. Can you make skins for Firefox?

Yes you can make skins for Firefox but it is more advanced I think. I've never tried it though. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Theme_development (Skins are called themes)

I also find the scripts are getting better now. More and more is getting added to firefox to get it working. Especially extensions that make the browser recognise them. Many sites are making sites that are Firefox friendly. Before you would go to sites and get a big "This site does not support firefox. Please switch to IE." Example: Launch.com Microsoft Update... they still have those... *complains*... You can tell Microsoft still wants us to use their browser (IE)... Its a big competition between them and FF. That is why they came out with IE 7 (BETA)... I can't get it because my copy of windows is not Genuine ... My Product ID is supposedly stolen... After buying my pc they tell me that now? Haha, no more updating my Windows until I get a good Product ID... chances are, I wont. I disabled my update...

Anyways I can keep on going. This must be one of my longest posts on this forum so you better enjoy it because they don't come often HAHA!

Personally, IE is pretty lame. There aren't many things in there and Firefox AND Slimbrowser have twice as many things in there as it. Windows has got to get game in this thing. While it installs itself, nobody pays attention. Heck, I can EDIT the icon for the IE. I'm stickin' with Slimbrowser, though. It's got everything and making the skin is just too easy! Don't you wish life was that grand? Wow, this is also one of the longest posts I've ever made, so enjoy it while YOU can HA HA HA!
