HELLO all this is a vary nice Script

(Best with Internet Explorer) Opens a small window then expands it vertically and horizontally to fill the screen with the new web page. Netscape users will not get any errors, the window simply opens the new page normally.

In ~Custom templates~ Simply copy and paste part 1 where ever you want it to appear ..

I put it in my Statistics bar at the bottom of the Board but you can put it anywhere you like the TEXT to appear

Only 4 things to change here so it works in your own board ..

1- RED --change ~ ~ to your URL ..

2- GREEN -- put whatever link you want the page to open to {could be a page within your site or any other url you wish your members to go to }

3- orange -- change ~Wrestling stars Biography~ to what you want your text to say

4- BLUE -- in this area ~ ="Tahoma" color="#0099FF"> ~ you can change to whatever color you want ..right now its set to blue on my board

<!--Simply copy and paste into <BODY> where you wish it to appear.-->

<a href="" onClick="expandingWindow(' ');return false;"><b> </font> <font face="Tahoma" color=" #0099FF "> Wrestling stars Biography</font><b></a></div>

Paste this code into the Custom templates>>>Page Header>>>put it at the bottom ..

<!-- Paste this code into the <HEAD> of your HTML document -->

<SCRIPT TYPE="text/javascript">

<!-- This script and many more are available free thanks to the great guys at (mod-ed script by jrpca) -->
<!-- -->

<!-- Begin
function expandingWindow(website) {
var heightspeed = 5; // vertical scrolling speed (higher = faster)
var widthspeed = 7; // horizontal scrolling speed (higher = faster)
var leftdist = 0; // distance to left edge of window
var topdist = 0; // distance to top edge of window
if (document.all) {
var winwidth = window.screen.availWidth - leftdist;
var winheight = window.screen.availHeight - topdist;
var sizer ="","","left=" + leftdist + ",top=" + topdist + ",width=1,height=1,scrollbars=yes");
for (sizeheight = 1; sizeheight < winheight; sizeheight += heightspeed) {
sizer.resizeTo("1", sizeheight);
for (sizewidth = 1; sizewidth < winwidth; sizewidth += widthspeed) {
sizer.resizeTo(sizewidth, sizeheight);
sizer.location = website;
window.location = website;
// End -->

And thats it .. your done ..

if you want to see what it looks like and how it works i have it at at the bottom of page in the Statistics bar just click on the Wrestling stars Biography just under Community Leaders

i have it to open another page within my board but really this can be used to open another site you may have or even a chat box you may have
{ i may do that myself down the road } <-- witch would really be cool to click on the text and a big chat box opens "I'm sure i will do that soon" when i have the time --

Enjoy and thanks again exco guys for the great boards

Ah. Neat effect script.

I think that if you change the "var leftdist" variable and the "var topdist" variable, you can position the window absolutely, meaning letting the resizing start anywhere on the screen, depending on the number you type.

Also, you can adjust how large the size grows to be by changing the winwidth/winheight variables. They are automatically calculated to make the screen into a square, kinda, justifying the amount of space between the window edge and the screen edge. However, you can make it whatever size you want by changing the equation of the winwidth/winheight variables easily by replacing the leftdist and topdist variables in the equation with a number. Like this:

var winwidth = window.screen.availWidth - 87;
var winheight = window.screen.availHeight - 50;

Now you can form your window to any size. Hope you guys will want to experiment with that.
