doesnt always work from the quick post

its been on and off for a while now I was wondering if thers anyway to fix it!

I havent touched my CP other than to edit skin graphics so nothing major, I also havent added any smiles in a long time
partly because it seems buggy!

was just wondering if its being looked in to or what

thanks!

I dont know what you consider "a while", but these fixes were from last year, after the server updates: http://excoboard.com/Support/2/1648884

well I 've been having them recently and I really couldnt tell you how long lol
I just know its still there

Honestly from what I'm reading it doesnt look like it was solved?? (for Grumpy anyway)

I havent changed anything and dont get why we indivdiually have to change a code for a server host problem... Exco should fix it (No offence Peter)
but with that said I guess I will fiddle around and try that code!

have you checked that all the smiley commands are the same? ie ... : lol : . I know it doesnt make sense, but I have found so many instances where just that little thing can cause the quick reply smileys or even smileys in general to not work properly.

If this doesnt help, then feel free to pm Peter for help.

Well, I guess added, or new features would ba a more accurate way to say it, instead of server updates, my bad

Anyway, the thread I pointed you to did fix all of our issues with the smilies last year. Peter posted the 2nd set because IE 7 wouldn't work with the first fix he posted.

That would be my next question / idea, is this happening in all browsers, to all members ???

Wing's idea has also fixed a lot of smilie problems in the past

Google is your best shot to getting new ones. You need to also post a new topic for help in the appropriate forum or it will either be lost forever or just ignored.

Purplescraps is right, there are bazillions of smileys around. Just be careful because a lot of these smiley sites are riddled with spyware.
