Have had the forum set up for a few weeks now, but have been steadily tweaking it..

Forum is for water users of Loch Lomond Scotland..

Good work! ... especially with the little time you've been open.
I'd look at structuring the top of your board a wee bit better.
and ... if you need help with menu bars, buttons, icons etc .... well, I can help you out.

I know what you mean about the top, been trying to make the forum "sticky" hence the RSS Feed, google calander and weather, but looks a bit dis-jointed.. would be better if the google adds werent there :-).
I might move the RSS feed to the top of the forum template under the Google ads.. not sure

You may want to consider paying for ad credits (no more nasty ad tables on your forums)
The offer is always there, if you need buttons, menus, icons etc.

Have paid for credits and will see how it goes, also been tidying up the header.
Would like some nautically themed buttons but not sure what :-)

Once your credits are authorized, I'd maybe consider placing some of the add ons in your header in a table at the footer, just a suggestion.

I like it. I think I'd like to the banner you have bigger. It's nice but not as noticeable. Also, not sure about others but the page goes off the right side of my screen. My resolution is set or 1024x768. I like the colors and your forums really jump out at you. Very nice.

I have been looking at making the board "stickier" and have add a Twitter feed on the left, I am waiting on a Twitterboard Alpha trial which will turn this more into a Twitter Wallboard, aka sort of chatbox I guess... I am a Twitter noob so still trying to figure it out..
The basic Twitter functionality isnt too bad. handy for updates etc

I now have a twitter feed incorporated into the site, very useful for updates and news. You can also use it to follow other Tweets and will also show direct messages.
I used a Twitter App called "GroupTweet" to show all tweets, then Feedburner in Google to take the RSS feed from Twitter and turn it into html.
Worked out rather well
