Posted March 24th, 2008 07:03 AM IP Control Panel Update - To be able to sort members ascending or descending. This would make it easier when listing members by status.
If you sort by status then everyone not a regular member (authorized, mods, super mods, admins) are at the end of the list. And if you have multiple pages, that means you have to load yet another page. Excoboard Terms of Service

Posted April 8th, 2008 04:58 PM IP I would love to see a better "edit style" section ~ like maybe something where you can preview your work before saving the changes to the board ~ right now I'm using my test board then I'm having to copy & paste the links over, it can get annoying and takes up more time.

The ability to quote multiple posts in one reply.
The SciFi.com boards have a feature like that.I wish Exco did too.

You can have that option. Go to your CP, Features and you will find the option there.

We are in desperate need for this too - so that the staff areas are only visible to staff. We would really rather not have to set up a separate 'board' for staff discussion and admin ...
Thanks!

Posted May 10th, 2008 02:40 PM IP Here's an idea for a feature to help keep people from losing their boards to a co admin that shuts them out of the control panel. Make it so that the original creator and email validator of the board can in no way ever be overwritten by a co admin they appoint.

Posted May 18th, 2008 12:10 PM IP I would like to see the return of Last Post column in the User Administration. We used that feature regularly and miss it terribly.

I know this can't be done now with the members having the option to hide their status.
I would be willing to give up that feature for the other.

I like the 'hide' feature and would rather not give that up. For me, the only way the online/offline status feature would work is if I could, as an admin, opt out.

Posted May 19th, 2008 01:19 AM IP ... mass e-mailing all members for admins, would be a nice feature to have from our point of view. As we continue to build a community, we have so many members to contact for different reasons, so "mass e-mail" or some kind of checkbox list would be TERRIFIC!!!

Posted May 26th, 2008 07:03 AM IP Hi, I know you have already solved the problem of lost PMs but I was wondering if there was a way to do this when posting a new topic too, I have lost many detailed topics because of forgetting to put in a subject.
EDIT: Hi, I've found that if you misspell the person's name in a pm or forget the ">" when trying to CC this problem also occurs, is there any way to fix these problems in the same way as you solved the first problem?
~Thanks in Advance | Kram21595~

Posted May 26th, 2008 11:23 AM IP I'd like for the Admin CP to show the last TIME a user was on, and not just the date.
And also to be able to sort by "Last online"
It's difficult with over 500 users to sort through 11 pages in the CP and looking at every single one to see when they were last online. www.texashockeyfans.com

Posted June 3rd, 2008 10:02 PM IP Siv wrote this: "Okay, this has become a massive request from a lot of our members. The way in which Exco works at the moment, if you type a PM and forget to enter a subject line, you submit and lose the message completely!! (even with hitting the back button on your browser, it doesn't retain the message)"
and Peter worked his magic.
Now I'm really wishing that when you type a reply to a thread, the subject line of the thread you're replying to is defaulted into the subject line of your reply.
This is how it worked on the board that my first 100 members came from. We are all used to just typing our reply, with the ability to change the subject if we want, but otherwise, the thread subject carries automatically into the subject line. Having been on the previous board for years, it is very hard for us to remember. We lose major replies and don't feel like typing it all, all over again.
Is there a way this can be accomplished on Excoboards?
Thanks so much for your consideration!!

Posted June 4th, 2008 05:42 AM IP A mass e-mail function, or system to be able to select (by form of checkbox) and send out a group a particular e-mail (site news, haven't seen you in a while, upgrades etc.)

Posted June 10th, 2008 02:43 PM IP I know that everyone would love easier-to-navigate Archives, and possibly Archives that look more like regular posts (with emoticons showing up).
A big one would be a better Search function....the current one is very confusing for most people and things aren't always shown in the correct order.
