- Average post-per-day counting.
- "Daughter" forums/sub-forums
- Usergroups

Hey, the last updates were great. Heres what i would like to see in the next update:
1. Location of member under user name, posts etc.
2. A realtime 'online' or 'offline' message under member's user name.
3. The ability for Site admins to edit member's avatars and sigs. This will give us greater control over spamming and rule breaking
4. I dunno if this will work, but maybe a 'member's page'. Where each member can have their own page where they can use html or exco code to make a mini webpage about themselves, hobbies etc, with pictures of their interests, maybe have templates for novices. Kinda like the guestbook but more interactive and personal. (just a thought)
5. 'Exco Money', where the more posts you get the more cash you get to spend on priveleges like accessing a v.i.p board, have glowing text stuff like that.

Location of Members, Online/Offline Status of Logged in Members (Along with Pics), Genders of Members (Drop-Down added to Profile along with pics), MSN id box too on register page...like AOL, ICQ and Yahoo are there.
Apart from that... On main board.. along with time, date and userid of last poster... even the title of last post.
Auto Welcome message, Spell Checker, A Web Calendar, PM Alert (By email or Pop-Up), Bulk Email to all members (Accessible Only to Admins), Preview Message before submitting option, Choice with Editor to include/exclude "Edited By' Line.
And above all, the member count should reset itself to a correct number when a member is deleted.
Also why not use pics for Sticky and Poll instead of Text Words  and Hidden Members only visible to Admins.

Has there been an update from the last time? I thought we were close to a new update like 3months ago but I haven't noticed any changes. No big deal.
I think it'd be great to have like ezboard a lock at the front door. Even before anyone can see the front page, they get a splash page from ez saying you have be logged in to this board to view...right now on my board anyone and everyone who just happens to punch in my address number can view the first 2 pages of my board and see whose on and get acess to my members photos or access to my memebers logins and website...I dont like that. We're a private group of friends and it'd be SO great to have a log in page before anyone can see the front page of our board. SOO SOO SOOOO GREAT! Please take this in to consideration. Not all boards want to be public to everyone. My board is only VERY private because it's a group of women with new babies and they are very protective of their families.
If you need more info on what I'm talking about with this password at the front door thing let me know. I'd be more the happy to give you an actual example of what I'm talking about. Please PM me.
The other thing that would be nice would be multiple uploads in the gallery. I go crazy trying to upload 1 picture at a time 
I think that's all for now. I use to have more ideas but I forgot since the last time you guys asked.

The HTML editor, the merge thread option,full CSS access,persoanl user titles,Improved IP banning,add images from gallery straight from reply/post page.

Features i would like in the next update would be:
1)Total posts on the forum under the statistics.
2)A better new post/no new post system.(Even when i check the new posts, the new post image still stays on.)
3)Time for people all around the world. Instead of everyone going by one timezone. ( I was thinking of editing the timezone on "My Account" page, maybe everyone could insert their own GMT.)
4)User online/offline,AIM,MSN,YIM... under username on posts.
5)Nova code generators displayed in pictures like proboards.
6)The text area field below the nova code generator and smilies.
thats about it.

1. faq admin, so you can add your own stuff to the faq
2. log actions, so you can see all things that your moderators have done.
3. customisable novocode, so you can add your own codes to replace html, such as [anchor=#1] then to go to it [goto=#1] so on a long thread you can go straight to it.
4. forum pruning
5. disallow names
6. checkboxes in admin ctrl panel for things asked on registering, so you can have birthdays for example and people can choose to have it on or off in ctrl panel. then you could have like birthdays today etc.
7. total threads/posts in your board
hope this isnt to much to ask

going through a forum automatically deleting stuff, like a test forum which is pruned every 24 hours so threads posted on more than 24 hours ago auto delete

The most important ones for me are an active topics list and custom NovoCode, and maybe usergroups. And I'd like that API too.
My signature was here, but then the new rule came and sat on it.
(Spared No Expense - the fully modded ExCoboard) Currently kinda bland, so answer my thread and suggest stuff.

1. Ability to go into member profile and make changes. Some members would like avatars and such, but don't know how to do it and it is diffictult to explain. If I could just do it for them that would make life easy for them.
2. Total post numbers in each forum (When I move a thread from one forum to another, It would be nice that the number changes under total posts. Ex. I have a forum where everything is posted in one place then moved to a catagory later in the week. If the # of posts always stays the same it will make it look like there are only 39 or 100 threads, in a forum when there are like 150 or 200, the members then don't think to look in archives and show all topics.)
3. The ability for admins only to see the hidden members on line. (Would like to see who is accessing the board)
4. Easier Search. I would like to be able to search a link, ex http://www.something.com and that link coming up if it has been posted.
5. Hidden forums (Ex - take the admin forum for example, no need for other members to see the forum there, would be nice if only authorized members see it)
I think that is it for now, even if some of these can be done would be really nice.

oh yea one more thing, when i click on "show all topics" option let it be on that option when i come back to check the forum, instead of going back to "show last 50 topics".

Ok I see people asking for the Profile/sig editing thing...
We have this already. You can go into it and delete all of the sig and avatars for a mamber. I like this better then the edit. Cause if you edit it, it looks like they said it. The delete feature is better!!!
Here is my wish list(yes it si for Novogate but all in the same)
Usergroups-so I can set usergroups to enter certain forums and stuff.
Hidden forums-So I can make it where certain forums can only be seen by mods. Regular members can not even see them.
Portals-This would be a very neat addition. Where I can place a poll, news, questions. and what not.
More profile fields-Admins can add more to the profile.
Sub Categories-Not really sub forums but a cub category. I have it where only categories chow up on main page. It would be cool to seperate the forums with in them categories a bit.
I will think of some more. Peter and Markus, You know me I am always thinking.

I would like to be able to see where everyone is looking on my forum
Ive been on some forums in the past and at the bottom of the forum where it says who's online and how many guests there are you can click on it and everyone can view where other people are....like this thread or that topic or viewing member profile.
I hope that makes sense....lol

I wouldn't say that but its interesting to know what the members and guests are up 2 while on your forum....quite a few members of a board i moderate has asked about this feature too.

#4 - Easier Search.
Ok for example. Today I posted this link in one of my threads. http://www.cb-chemie.de
Now, say I want to find that thread with that link or want to know if that link has been posted before I put just the link in the search "http://www.cb-chemie.de" so now that I have done that, when I search the thread, I expect just the posts with that link to come up, instead I get a hole buch more posts, and usually not the posts with that link.
If you were to come to my forum and search that link, you will see what I mean.

I guess what I am saying is, that it looks up exactly what I put in, The "....." doesn't work.

But thats the way a search works. It keys off of keywords. So any post the contains any of those words will show up.
