Hello Folks. Have a query from a member of my forum as she is no longer able to log on to the board from her computer at work. The two messages she has sent go as follows:

"Sorry to contact you this way (via Facebook), but when I had to clear my cache, cookies, browsing history, etc. on my computer at work the forum won't recognize my username and password now - and it's the one it sent me when I did a "lost password"! What can I do? I posted to the tech help board from my laptop at home over the weekend but can't access anything from here (work). I'd really like to be able to login from work since I only check from home on weekends and rely on my work computer the rest of the time. I even tried to create a new account but can't because I have the same email address for personal use and really am hesitant to use my work email to create a new account. Help! Or would I check with someone else? Thanks!!"

A second message:

"Help!!! I had to clear my cache, cookies, browsing history etc. on my computer at work and when I came back to BPW Cafe I couldn't login. I wouldn't recognize my login or password - just automatically populated the password window for me when I started typing my login then emptied both of them when I hit submit with a message that it didn't recognize me.

I had it send my info to my email and it was the same as what I had on my login/password list but I still can't get in. What can I do? I can't create a new account - it won't let me because I have to use the same email address. I already tried. Help!!! At least it works from my laptop (I'm still signed in) or y'all might never hear from me again... "

Any help for this member and their problem would be greatly appreciated.

Are you using a frame on your board or a proxy?

What browser is the member using at work?

Not sure whether I am using a frame or a proxy. Over my head I am afraid.

The member was using Firefox at work as per her latest message:

"I just tried in IE and it let me in with no problem. I don't know what the deal is with Firefox all of a sudden but I guess I'll have to switch over to IE to check the Cafe at work. If I can ever get in to it at work in Firefox again I'll let you know how. If anyone comes up with other suggestions I'd be happy to hear them. Just glad I'm able to get in again. Thanks again!!"

Seems to have sorted the problem but is there any way she can log in through Firefox again? The plot thickens.

She could try and get the FF updated, if it isn't at the latest version.
