Posted 01-23-10 08:44 PM IP Any word or rumors on any other coaches that are going to fill out the rest of the staff?

Posted 01-24-10 06:26 PM IP Not yet. But I'm guessing Coach Mac's staff will be finalized by 02/05. Go Spartans!

Posted 01-26-10 08:20 AM IP With the hiring of Hugh Freeze, it's looking like Malley is out. His offense finished at the bottom of FBS level football, so IMO, he needed to go.

Posted 01-26-10 09:50 AM IP It wasn't Malley's offense...It was Morton's, and he was running it, not Malley...

I concur with this. The more complete a coaching staff we have, the better. When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals, adjust the action steps.

Yes, I stand corrected. It wasn't his offense. Malley however had his hands all over it (he was calling the plays), so he's partially to blame IMO.
With that said, I think Hugh Freeze will do a fine job. Malley will land on his feet again. He's a great Arena coach.

I'm surprised that Malley isn't working for the San Jose Wolves. Their inaugural season begins in just 6 weeks. Maybe they can't afford him? Go Spartans!
