I'm gettin' better I don't know if there was less lag or if my highly-tuned sensory capacity has adapted... (in other words, if I got used to it). A couple of personal highlights: I killed both of y'all in one fell swoop as Marth. And I defeated Zach's best (Sonic) with my worst (Ganondorf)... I even nailed him with the B move once. Of course, the lag can make anyone goof up. I will only feel truly triumphant when I succeed in person. Anyway, my Sonic has improved. I hope it was noticeable. Snake and Wario are the ones I use for fun. And Wolf, I actually was just trying to do the communication with Lylat Cruise. Eh well. It looked as if my Sonic "improved" also, despite the fact that I haven't been practicing with him, and he isn't one of my best characters. Go figure. =/ Good games, though. Posts: 699 Registered: Jan 2004  Posted October 18th, 2008 06:36 PM   IP              The thing that pisses me off is that I feel confident enough in my abilities with Sonic that I should be able to beat the holy hell out of people. I think I need to train some on the smaller stages. I have to be able to beat guys when there isn't as much room to run around. Anyway, I'm guessing everyone has seen the Codec thing for Brawl. My favorite is the one they do for Bowser. Snake pretty much downplays him as an oversized pansy. Wonder Woman wins. HEROIC BRUTALITY.

I'm not really sure there's a difference for me. Battlefield, however, is my usual "practice" stage... maybe this is a subliminal message that I DO perform better on the smaller levels? I don't know, I never really thought about it. You played a good Snake, but Sonic was still the character I had the hardest time with. You did use both of those characters to shine a spotlight on my rustiness. I think Falco was a good example. At first I was thinking, "oh, I just have to get used to the lag," but looking back, I could've used him a lot better than that. My rustiness also shows with, as much as I hate to say it, Wario. When I began playing Smash regularly again, one or two matches is all it took for me to get in shape with DK and Falcon - Wario, on the other hand, I have yet to regain all my confidence with. And finally, I have no idea what the Codec thing is. Codec: Remember when we were playing on SMI and I had Snake do this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y8OAsNXNInc They recorded one for every opponent, including duplicate Snake. Using Snake and playing on SMI, you have to make him do his down-taunt, except you have to just slightly tap it. Sometimes takes a couple tries. And if someone hits you while you're trying to get it started, it won't do it, and you get only one shot at it per match.
