Chat here about what you think about video game companies that release thier games/systems too early. Releasing them early makes thier games not that good overall, as opposed to releasing at a later time, Makes alot better. Microsoft plans to release thier Xbox 360 early, While Nintendo and Sony release thier respective systems at a later date mkaing them better overall, Since thier technicians will have more time to make adjusments and improve it.

I think giving the technicians more time to improve their systems is a good thing, but I want my Revolution NOW. *sniffle* Such conflicting thoughts.

Thats a longtime for release. The wait will make it worth it. Im going to get a DS soon and the new castlevania game for it.

In Microsofts defense (even though they are my least favourite)...the X360 has been in development for a lot longer than the revolution and PS3, that's why it is being released first.
And NONE of you have reason to whinge about release dates...None of you...you get both games and consoles months before we even get an announced release date.

I have every right to whine, Sheik! Japan gets the releases before anyone else does! But still, waiting for a new system and/or game to be released, makes it better.

Yeh and America and Europe (which is the version we get anyway) get things several months before Australia does...
Granted, PAL releases occasionally get better games with extras on them...but that still doesn't justify leaving Australia waiting longer to get the same game...
And Japan doesn't always get games first...in fact I can think of some which America got first...

Any American made game (Halo and anything Microsoft including consoles)

I think Soul Calibur 3 is also due iut in the US before Japan...at least it was...

Mario Kart DS is set for a November 14th release here in the states. While Europe gets it later in the month and Japan gets it December 8th.

Heh heh! There's proof that early release's for a new console can be bad! Most X-box 360's that were released, over-heated a lot. So, Microsoft just lost millions, because many people wanted their money back because of a defective console.

I said this in the other thread too...The same thing also happened with all Sony Consoles...and the majority of overheating is caused by fanboys playing for 8 hours straight...most normal casual gamers have had no problems with the X360.

Then, why didn't my SNES overheat? I played that thing for 9-1o hours straight, back in the day. Smae thing applies with N64. I did the same thing once. That's what I don't understand there, Sheik.

I don't remember me mentioning Nintendo in my post...but I will respond anyway...
It's simple really...technology...as the technology has improved so has the strain that is placed on the parts...the heat up and without ample time to allow them to cool down they overheat...hence in all instruction manuals they advise to only play for an hour at a time before taking a 30 min break...
So now if you look at the current 4 consoles...PS2, Xbox, X360 and Gamecube...all of them have overheating problems even if they haven't been rushed...

That could aslo hold true for the Slimline Playstation consoles. They were recalled due to that problem. But i am sure with the new consoles, that problem won't be in effect much.
