Posted July 24th, 2007 06:50 PM IP I need a topic where we can talk about the continued story! First, I was totally amazed! The last thing I wrote, I had Roy asking what Opal was really hiding. My intention was that her father had been kidnapped and they were looking for him. And--what do you know? The next person said exactly that! I almost fell off my chair!
The story is going great--and it's so much fun! May God keep you smilin' down a million happy trails!

Posted July 24th, 2007 07:20 PM IP It's great! Let's try to fit as many people from the movies in, okay? Since this doesn't have to be perfect, it's fun to bring everyone in. May God keep you smilin' down a million happy trails!

Just so long as it doesn't get to complicated. Hot Heads and Cold Hearts never solved anything.

On one of my other forums, we have a continual story, and we say whoever makes the 100th post, gets to finish the story. Maybe we should do that for this one. Hot Heads and Cold Hearts never solved anything.

Yoicks! I hate organization to that point. How about we just keep working on it and head it towards a good ending? May God keep you smilin' down a million happy trails!

Posted July 29th, 2007 10:38 AM IP Hey, I think the story is going just great. Instead of trying to end it why don't we
see how long we can keep it running, huh? How long do you suppose we could
get it? I like that idea better than trying to stop it. Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright that God may love thee. Speak the truth even if it leads you to your death. Safeguard the helpless. That is your oath. (strikes him across the face) That is how you shall remember it. Rise a knight!
Knighting out of Kingdom of Heaven
You will listen to me. Listen! The Bretheren will still be looking to us, the Black Pearl, to lead. And what will they see? Frightened bilge rats aboard a derelict ship? No! No, they will see free men and freedom! And what the enemy will see is the flash of our cannons! They will hear the ring of our swords and they will know what we can do. By the sweat of our brows, and the strength of our backs, and the courage of our hearts. Gentlemen, hoist the colors.

Posted July 31st, 2007 11:25 AM IP Now, wait a minute! I wasn't advocating anything like that! My poor fingers! But--I firmly think that if everyone just keeps posting and moving the story along, it will come to a natural conclusion--probably quicker than people think. May God keep you smilin' down a million happy trails!

Posted August 1st, 2007 06:57 AM IP I've enjoyed the story.
Lots of action and certainly a lot of imagination from the budding authors in this group.
Why worry about an ending at this point?
Even so, should not the one who started the story be the one to outline the conclusion? Had Trigger been an automobile, he would have been a Crosley.

Posted August 3rd, 2007 01:42 PM IP Right! Hey, someone spoiled all my mystery on the story! I planned to have that guy who stuck a gun in D's back be the bad guy--and now he's related to Pat. Humph. Well, I guess crazy twists like that are what the story's all about! May God keep you smilin' down a million happy trails!

Posted August 3rd, 2007 02:23 PM IP You know--maybe instead of seeing how long we can make it--I suspect it would be more proffitable to see how many cold voices from the shadows show up. With RRS around it could be interesting--hmm Eowawa? Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright that God may love thee. Speak the truth even if it leads you to your death. Safeguard the helpless. That is your oath. (strikes him across the face) That is how you shall remember it. Rise a knight!

And to think I thought the story was going good! Silly me! "How can we not believe in the greatness of America?...we cannot, must not and will not turn back. We will finish our job. How could we do less? We're Americans."
