I have a picture taken from the March 1974 Screen Stories showing Roy and Dale at a gala event; Roy was complete with mustache.

I'm sure that being it was Roy that it was not fake! It is a great picture of the 2 of them. The footnote to the picture mentioned that when RR and DE walked in, it was to the accompaniment of an applause.

I appreciate everyone's help for me to learn this "pic" stuff.
I'm a slow learner - but when I get it, I've got it!!
I also want to say a little bit about Jim Whitney's experience...over the years, I've noticed his expertise in relating Roy movie details to this group. I finally figured out from another post he made that his expertise comes from being a teacher of engineering. I've said all this to say we are very fortunate to have someone of his caliber to help us with the details of movie making as well as cut-uncut versions and so on.

I haven't been on the Gift Shop's site for awhile. I'll have to go there soon.
Don't they have some great stuff?
It wouldn't be hard to max out a credit card there really quick.

They have great stuff at the gift shop. I think it's the perfect place for RR/DE fans. Last year most of my Christmas gifts came from the gift shop.

I went to your gallery and enjoyed looking at the pictures. The Bob Hope ones are great. The ability to train a horse to act to cue for a scene like this is terrific. Reminds when Tonto had a similar scene with his horse Scout. Blanket on, blanket off, blanket on, blanket off...on and on it went.

This frame-by-frame stuff is something else...and I do have to learn how to do it.

Cowpokey D, do you have a version that cut that scene out? The movie version my brother has (Bob Hope Film Collection) has that whole scene. That is how I was able to 'capture' the pictures while I played the movie on my computer.
