Posted August 20th, 2007 02:16 PM IP Sorry, Cowpokey D! I was sure they would show up. I just uploaded them all to my photo gallery so that everyone can see them there. Just click on my profile, click on the image gallery, and the pictures are in the screen caps folders. “Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get — only with what you are expecting to give — which is everything.” ~ Katherine Hepburn, actress

Posted August 20th, 2007 04:03 PM IP I have a picture taken from the March 1974 Screen Stories showing Roy and Dale at a gala event; Roy was complete with mustache. I'm sure that being it was Roy that it was not fake! It is a great picture of the 2 of them. The footnote to the picture mentioned that when RR and DE walked in, it was to the accompaniment of an applause. Posted August 21st, 2007 06:21 AM IP I appreciate everyone's help for me to learn this "pic" stuff.
I'm a slow learner - but when I get it, I've got it!!
I also want to say a little bit about Jim Whitney's experience...over the years, I've noticed his expertise in relating Roy movie details to this group. I finally figured out from another post he made that his expertise comes from being a teacher of engineering. I've said all this to say we are very fortunate to have someone of his caliber to help us with the details of movie making as well as cut-uncut versions and so on.
Many thanks, Jim, for being part of this group. You are an integral part of the MB. "How can we not believe in the greatness of America?...we cannot, must not and will not turn back. We will finish our job. How could we do less? We're Americans."

Don't they have some great stuff?
It wouldn't be hard to max out a credit card there really quick. "How can we not believe in the greatness of America?...we cannot, must not and will not turn back. We will finish our job. How could we do less? We're Americans."

I went to your gallery and enjoyed looking at the pictures. The Bob Hope ones are great. The ability to train a horse to act to cue for a scene like this is terrific. Reminds when Tonto had a similar scene with his horse Scout. Blanket on, blanket off, blanket on, blanket off...on and on it went. You're more than welcome. I see some more pics you've put on and they're great.
This frame-by-frame stuff is something else...and I do have to learn how to do it.
As Michael Martin Murphy sang in Cowboy Logic, "...if you've got a job, do it..." So...Cowpokey D...don't just talk about it, do it to it.

Many thanks.
BTW, that picture of Hope and Trigger is part of the section that was cut from "Son of Paleface."

Cowpokey D, do you have a version that cut that scene out? The movie version my brother has (Bob Hope Film Collection) has that whole scene. That is how I was able to 'capture' the pictures while I played the movie on my computer. “Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get — only with what you are expecting to give — which is everything.” ~ Katherine Hepburn, actress

HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was taking pics out of SOP just awhile back, and I got that IDENTICAL PICTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You shot stealer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright that God may love thee. Speak the truth even if it leads you to your death. Safeguard the helpless. That is your oath. (strikes him across the face) That is how you shall remember it. Rise a knight!
Knighting out of Kingdom of Heaven
You will listen to me. Listen! The Bretheren will still be looking to us, the Black Pearl, to lead. And what will they see? Frightened bilge rats aboard a derelict ship? No! No, they will see free men and freedom! And what the enemy will see is the flash of our cannons! They will hear the ring of our swords and they will know what we can do. By the sweat of our brows, and the strength of our backs, and the courage of our hearts. Gentlemen, hoist the colors.

That may be Little Trigger and most of us know Trigger (The Old Man) had only one white stocking naturally, but it sure looks like a wrap on this horse's stockings nevertheless.

That horse IS LT, and as far as I can see, his stockings are not wrapped. A wrapped leg would be bulkier than that. May God keep you smilin' down a million happy trails!
