It sort of looks like the first pic of Mrs. Rogers that you posted today/yesterday was from around the 60's.

This very special photo showed up on eBay and went to the winning bidder yesterday...I hope a RR/DE fan got it and not just a buyer/re-seller. The buyer's eBay user name suggested he/she might be a RR/DE collector. It went for a fairly high price.
It was a special promo card...the wording following the picture is what was on the back.
I assume it's 1976.

Roy Rogers and Dale Evans, shown above in a horse drawn surrey, will appear
as guests on the 4th of July special, "Happy Birthday, America." Roy and Dale
sing the title song before an audience of 75,000 at the Los Angeles Coliseum.
Singer Paul Anka, his wife Anne and their four daughters will host the special
event, which boasts a long list of guests, including K.C. & The Sunshine Band,
performing "That's The Way I Like It." Evel Knievel, Sandy Duncan, Arte
Johnson, circus acts and of course a fantastic fireworks display. This very
special Special will air 7-8:30 P.M. (ET) on NBC-TV.

I've noticed that. In all the photos I have ever seen of Roy and Dale together, you sure can tell how they feel towards one another and 'bout their LORD JESUS. It always shows!!

That certainly is over half of what made them so special.
Be without fear in the face of your enemies. Be brave and upright that God may love thee. Speak the truth even if it leads you to your death. Safeguard the helpless. That is your oath. (strikes him across the face) That is how you shall remember it. Rise a knight!
Knighting out of Kingdom of Heaven

You will listen to me. Listen! The Bretheren will still be looking to us, the Black Pearl, to lead. And what will they see? Frightened bilge rats aboard a derelict ship? No! No, they will see free men and freedom! And what the enemy will see is the flash of our cannons! They will hear the ring of our swords and they will know what we can do. By the sweat of our brows, and the strength of our backs, and the courage of our hearts. Gentlemen, hoist the colors.

Some of these pics are great...tomorrow I finally starting my RR/DE flower bed... I think I am going to try and make a white cowboy hat (with flowers) and I would love to try to make a western shirt with fringes...that might be a challenge... Since I am not good a sewing I might be able to do it with flowers.. hee hee. I think I will do one of "Trigger rearing" in flowers also... just have to find the right color)

Interesting picture of Roy's clothes. Do you suppose these were readied for a quick change in the studio?
Does anybody recognize any of the patterns? How about the dark one about 7th from the right?

Look at all the hats on the ground...some of them are even different styles. Interesting.

The hats you're speaking about are probably new ones that Roy hadn't had time to shape his trademark style into yet.
I heard him say once on a video that to start the process of shaping a hat, he'd take it into the shower and mold it to the shape he wanted.

Both. Especially the parts about the hats; as I don't ever recall seeing Mr. Rogers wearing the rounder type of hats shown in the picture very much.
