Roy Rogers Geography Quiz

Hey, guys! I was going through the Roy Rogers yesterday and realizing that--although some of it's kinda movie-ized--there's a lot of geography in them. So here are some questions! Just so you know, when I ask for the setting of the movie I mean literally where it was set, not where it was filmed. Have fun with the quiz.

May God keep you smilin' down a million happy trails!

1. What state was "Susanna Pass" set in?

2. What state was "Heldorado" set in?

3. Name 8 RR movies in which the action takes place at least partially outside the US border.

4. What actual historical happening was the basis for "The Ranger and the Lady"?

5. In what state did the the majority of the action take place in "Days of Jesse James"?

6. In which state did Billy the Kid Returns take place?

7. In which city did Man From Oklahoma begin?

8. Name 17 RR movies to include the name of a state.

9. In which state did Sheriff of Tombstone begin?

10. In which state did it end?

11. In which state did Bad Man of Deadwood take place?

12. Name 3 RR movies to take place at mostly in New Mexico.

13. Which RR movie took place almost entirely in 1800's Cheyenne?

14. Did Roy ever actually go across the border in North of the Great Divide?

15. And finally--this question has nothing to do with RR, but I love it. In which state is the wonderfully Western-named city of Truth or Consequences?

May God keep you smilin' down a million happy trails!

Man, this quiz seems to be harder than I thought! Here's a clue to the rest of you taking the quiz. Most of the answers can be figured out by a little delving into your history knowledge. For instance, where did Billy the Kid die.... Get it?

Here is the lowdown on dat town RRS....

Originally called "Hot Springs", it took the name of a popular radio program in 1950, when Truth or Consequences host Ralph Edwards
announced that he would do the program from the first town that renamed itself after the show. Ralph Edwards came to the town during the first weekend of May for the next fifty years. This event was called the "Fiesta" and included a beauty contest, parade, and a stage show. The town was also the fictional hometown of Cactus Jack, one of the several professional wrestling personas of Mick Foley.
