Posted July 3rd, 2007 07:35 PM IP Thank You, My Dear Friend Jan. God works in mysterious ways; I sometimes wonder how I have time to meet the needs of all my dear friends here in this area plus many across the world. Somehow, You and I found a Precious Friendship across what we call "the little pond" and, yes, we have found something that so many people never find.....a closeness that is so real and so dear and the miles between us never seem to be there. I really needed to hear your words tonight for reasons I will not get into here. Liftestyle, customs, etc. may keep many from ever knowing what True Friendship is; You and I are an example that this can be!

Posted July 3rd, 2007 08:00 PM IP This MB brought me another Precious, Dear Friend...Linda. We have shared many laughs, some tears, but, what we share the most is trust and a Friendship that is rare. If we had never been on this MB, we would have never had the fun of being Lucy and Ethel.....on here and elsewhere. We can be ourselves...which I doubt either of us could ever be anything else...no pretense. We are there for each other be it day or midnight. She can make me laugh when I have treaded many dark days and I think I have done same for her. Thanks RR/DE MB for bringing Linda into my life. She is like a shining star; if only all of you knew her the way I do.

Posted July 3rd, 2007 09:09 PM IP It's not too early to get your reservations in for the 4th annual RR roundup in Branson -- Sept 14-16th to celebrate 40 years of Happy Trails at the museum. It's going to be all Rogers' family entertainment with Dusty and the HighRiders, of course, along with Rogers' Legacy, Rob and Linda Johnson, and a special treat of Dusty and his sister, Linda Lou, singing together.
My favorite part is the "meet and greet" at the Welk Resort on Friday evening--a good time for all us old fogeys to chew the fat. Jim Friesz

I guess I got my "lin's" mixed up. How did that happen?

Posted August 5th, 2007 09:23 PM IP I am continuing to try to get some more of old-timers to return.
Just about run out of addresses to write.
There was one man that had a baby pup named Roy and he carried him in his pocket and he posted a lot about Roy but something happened to Roy and he quit posting. He never posted to anything else. He sent me 1 pic of the pup but his words are "I somehow trust you and I ask that You never use this e-mail address to contact me" and I will never go against his wishes. Whether he looks in at times or not, I do not know...this had to be around 2001 or 2002. IF you do see this...come back and join us again...perhaps you have another pup now!

Posted August 6th, 2007 01:22 PM IP It was good to hear from Tex. But I hope he continues to post.
What we need is for Tex to start a Trigger topic and then share his expertise with all of us; again for the old-timers and then for the newbies in the crowd who have never read Tex's Trigger Text.
Well, maybe I'll start it hoping he will post. "How can we not believe in the greatness of America?...we cannot, must not and will not turn back. We will finish our job. How could we do less? We're Americans."

Posted August 6th, 2007 02:00 PM IP On our general call to "Old-Timers Ltd," many have returned, at least to lurk, and that's good. One once said, "...once life has gone on by, you can't come back..." Maybe that's true in some areas; however, seeing many of you return to the MB is so good...better than ice cream and ice cream is mighty good!!!
Many thanks. "How can we not believe in the greatness of America?...we cannot, must not and will not turn back. We will finish our job. How could we do less? We're Americans."

Posted August 6th, 2007 03:52 PM IP You know, I've used the term Old-timers several times when actually, it should be Vintage-Timers!!
Vintage is good! "How can we not believe in the greatness of America?...we cannot, must not and will not turn back. We will finish our job. How could we do less? We're Americans."

Posted August 8th, 2007 07:42 PM IP Cowgirlbyebye is checking in after a persuassive email from Cowpokey D. I enjoyed the late night conversing and I remember the rough times you were going through back then. We had a good time jawing and posting and the comradre was sure nice. I doubt I will have time to check in very often, just so busy now but I appreciate the personal invite just the same. Vintage Brenda has been encouraging me for years to get back on with the MB. Missed you gals and guys. Eager to see what has been going on in the postings. Eager to see if my old buddies are still lurking around the MB and looking forward to meeting new partners.

Posted August 10th, 2007 09:43 PM IP It feels good to be back and see many new names too. I must give Saddle Pal Brenda appreciation for nudging me back on the board. It is good to see eveyrone again. I feel like asking the same things I asked the first time I joined up years back. How does this site work? Things have changed. How do I get back to my profile to upload a picture beside my name? How do I check my personal mail box? I've got to get up to snuff on this site again.
