so one of the bonus discs off the new OSI is an Elliott Smith cover, so I figured I'd look him up.

whenever I read the song title "Needle In The Hay" the chorus of the song instantly started playing in my head (I've only seen The Royal Tenenbaums twice). I absolutely love that song.

I've only really listened to his self titled album, but it's amazing.

it seems like the nineties was a great time to die before your time

there was a little boy, stood on a burning log
rubbing his hands with glee
he said: "oh mother england, did you light my smile? or did you light this fire underneath?"
someday I'll be a minstrel in the gallery, I'll paint you a picture of the queen
and if sometimes I may sing to a cynical degree
it's just the nonsense that it seems
