I heard that tons of cities in the US are staging a protest against the immigration shit that's been going on lately, and my friend told me that there's gonna be one in Fargo on the Main Avenue bridge..
Is anyone going to it already, or are you planning on going if you can make it??
I'd love to go, but I got so much shit going on...

If we went off that philosophy then we couldn't travel anywhere, because Americans almost never know a second language of the country they travel too. my forefathers were not english as with many americans today, they did not speak english when they came here LEGALLY but they learned it...why? becouse theyt respected the american way oif life, these illegals DO NOT respect america, in fact they only care about themselves, they do not care about say white immigrants

i'm not for illegal immigration,but i really don't think we should kill them all either. Illegal immigration does need to be reduced in the worst way though.i went to DC a few weeks ago and spoke to a guy from FAIR (http://www.fairus.org/site/PageServer) or the Federation for American Immigration Reform, and it was very interesting and really opens your eyes to what illegal immigration is causing. The current US pop. is 297 mil, and w/ over a million illegal(by the Immigration and Nationality Act) immigrants coming in each year that number is expected to grow to 420 million by 2050. Currently there are 9-11 million illegal aliens.(those are a couple facts of many from the website) There's also tons of articles on the site about other problems, like more contagious diseases, draining public funds, displacing legal workers, etc. As far as the language thing goes, my opinion is if you work in a service occupation, you must speak decent English. It's ridiculous when you go to Subway and you can't understand what the hell they are asking you about your sandwich.

I doubt it. Your forefathers who immigrated to the U.S. probably never learned any English beyond "Hello" and "Where can I get food?". Their daughters and sons are a whole different story. Growing up in a country allows one a much greater chance of acquiring that language.

Your whole agument of your forefathers learning English is based off of assumption. You figure that since you, your parents, and your grandparents speak English, then everyone in your family tree that came to America learned the language. WRONG. Chances are they learned a very VERY rough version of what they'd call English....their kids are where it started. They were completely exposed to American culture, customs, and language. They were forced to learn the langage to succeed, and basically, to live. Your ancestors that came over here on a boat didnt have to learn the language. They came here to escape opression and live a better life than they would have in their home country. They only thing they had on their mind was labor/money, and making a good life for their children.
Calling immigrants non-human, just because they're "criminals", is really really stupid. You do realize that there are several levels to crime, right?? Immigration, legal or illegal, is not much of a crime. It's about as bad as you going out and driving recklessly, endangering the lives of others....and whether you think so or not, I can guarantee you've had more than one experience of driving recklessly. Therefore, you're not human either, so go kill yourself now.
You say you're fine with legal immigration, but illegal is wrong. Think about that for a minute...do you know why most illegal immigrants come into this country illegally?? It's because they dont have the money to come into the country legally, but what's their reason for coming to America?? TO MAKE MONEY!!! They want to better the lives of themselves and their children. They're taking the necessary actions to do that. They're sure as hell not going to sit on their ass and wait to die. If you were put in their situation, where doing something illegal might make or break your entire existence, you would do the exact same thing they're doing. I would love to hear you say you'd rather go hungry, and die from any number of diseases than to do something illegal that would potentially save your life. The next time you're looking for a job, and you say something like "I dont want to work in fast food, it sucks". Think about these illegal immigrants you're bashing, and put yourself in their shoes...They would work for 10 percent of what any American would, because any money is better than no money to them. And any amount money will help their lives. Quit trying to act like you're so much better than immigrants. The only thing you have better than them is that you were fortunate to be born into a family, and a country that has more to offer than most....and that right there is a fucking PRIVILEGE. In other words, QUIT TAKING IT FOR GRANTED, YOU UNGRATEFUL PIECE OF SHIT!!!!!!
Your arguments hold no water whatsoever. You have no idea the amount of time, and money, and effort goes into becoming a legal US citizen, or even becoming a legal immigrant in the US. The most effort you've ever known is to drag your ass out of bed in the morning to make it to class on time. You had no argument at all. Calling immigrants non-human, and procaliming that you hate them and want them to leave is not arguing, that you whining like a bitch. ...my forefathers probably illegally snuck onto a ship headed for america and spoke German. anyway, that isn't the point. Point is, people want to come over here legally, but don't have any money to do so. So why kill them for that? your argument just might be something like "well there are people who immigrate over here who are terrorists." agreed, so how do you separate them? easy, let the good guys in for free. Like any other immigrant, they're going to have to learn the language and learn it well, just as any other american would learn spanish if they were going to mexico. It would be rocky, but hey they'd learn it. And as far as working in mexico goes, making money to move to america is next to impossible with the wages there. Working in a field for a buck an hour isn't a good thing, and most certainly won't earn you enough in a lifetime to cross the border. Now does that make sense, Brandon, or did you stop reading after "my forefathers"?

Brandon, how can you respect a country that has associated itself with the one religion that you hate more than most other things? I mean, we have "In god we trust" on our currency, that's a pretty blurry separation of church and state if you ask me.

America can't make up its damn mind whether it's Christian or not. Take 9/11 for example. Before that time, almost everyone I knew was all "fuck god" and the pledge of allegiance controversy was going on but then 9/11 happens and everyone's all "Oh jesus, save us! God is good" whatever. Or like the ten commandments thing. They wanna take that out of the courtroom, but refuse to remove "in god we trust" from our currency. I don't care what America does, as long as it makes up its mind. Either take out all kinds of religion or disregard political correctness and the separation of church and state altogether, but whatever you do, make up your mind.
