Not true, I talked to Seth before Ray passed (about buying my PA) but besides that I haven't heard from him. It's alright though, we definitely want no beef over a show and hope this goes over fucking amazingly!

why the hell would you have a show for Ray and not even ask ksa to play? that just doesnt make sense. i hope the show goes well and makes tons of cash for ray's family. i just have a sick feeling it wont.

Not putting anyone down but I want to say there are reasons the "Shitty metal bands" are playing incluiding my own "Shitty metal band".
Seth and I talked an agreed (cuz we're the ones putting on this show) that the reason these bands are playing is because they offered to. They didn't ask and say please and beg. They just said hey if you need bands we want to HELP. So with that being said the bands that all wanted to help out and make this a big event are the bands that got to play.
I hate people...

Ok, sorry NIck, I thought we had tried to contact you, but I guess we completely forgot. I definately was slapping myself on the forehead for that one.
Before I say anything else, understand that I am just really pissed about what everyone is saying, the assumptions they're making, and the fact that they have no right to do any of it, in my eyes. So I AM going to sound like a VERY pissed-off asshole, but I don't care right now.
No, I did not just book bands that I like. I don't even like all the bands playing, to be honest. There are good reasons for every band we booked. I did, for a fact try to get Takes Manhattan, but they are out of town recording that day, and respectfully declined. Also, when I sent out the texts and everything about doing the show, nobody made suggestions.
If you want certain bands to play, say something right away, NOT after all the bands have already been booked, and when the flier is being made. I will NOT tell a band that they can't play after giving them a slot, just because myself, or anyone else would rather have a different band.
I know it's for Ray, but it's also a fundraiser for his family, which lead us to choosing a couple of those "shitty metal bands" because they bring a good crowd usually, and we want to raise as much money as possible for Ray's family.
Also, don't be so quick to criticize, as I didn't see any of YOU thinking of doing a memorial show for Ray, or anything. If you want to do things differently, do it yourself, otherwise, shove it up your ass. If I got this kind of feedback from any other show I set up, I would cancel the whole fucking thing, to be honest. But with the nature of the show, I'm not going to be that big of a douche-bag.
You all need to understand the intentions I set out with. I wanted to do a show in Ray's name, make it as awesome of a show as possible (Which was the best way of honoring him I could think of, regardless of which bands played, you know Ray just loved an awesome show. And YES it would have been better to have more bands that Ray liked play, but I tried TM, got Aggro Saints, and honestly somehow just forgot about KSA and Jamie) And the intentions of making it an awesomely successful show so that we could raise as much money as possible for his family. I know nothing can ever make up for the loss of someone like Ray, but funerals are fucking expensive.
All your bitching on here is why KSA is playing now, to be perfectly honest. Connor's band dropped to make room for KSA because they weren't comfortable playing with so much hate directed at them. Which is just rediculous that they aren't playing, because how many of you would like to set up a show, and help with everything, and blow money and time custom-building lights for the show, and NOT have a chance to play with your own band?
I am seriously pissed about how everyone is reacting to the set list. I loce all of you, but you need to piss off. What would Ray think of this judgemental shit about "shitty metal bands" and everything?! Just support the fucking music!

THIS IS NOT COOL. Seriously, I told Conno last night when he called that I didn't want to play if this was the condition. I told him I wasn't mad at the line up. I just stated on here the FACT that we didn't say we couldn't play and in fact said we would if asked. We were not bitter we were not asked, we are plenty busy with finishing up our last month of school, releasing the new EP, moving out, and playing other shows. SO yeah, I reiterated my point several times that I didn't want to take there spot because people bitched excessively he ASSURED me this wasn't the reason and that they wouldn't have a 2nd guitarist/wouldn't be ready by then so they all agreed to just drop for THAT reason.
Seth I agree this show is getting way to ridiculous in the amount of controversy it is igniting and honestly I don't think KSA should play if it is under this condition. Like I said I wouldn't have said yes if I knew that was the condition. I FLAT OUT told Conno and IDK if there is some communication breakdown between what he told me and what he told you but someone should clear it up quick so we know if we are playing this still or not. AND AGAIN if that is the condition then you might as well count us out and with NO hard feelings. Seth we applaud your effort in this and also appreciate the bands for playing on their own dime and time.

To clear it up a bit Nick, I do assure you that we ARE NOT ready to play and we aren't dropping for you kids. Whether you decide to play or not, we will not be playing because we don't feel we are ready and would rather concentrate our efforts on helping making this a great show any other way we can.
There must have been a communication error between seth and myself when I initially proposed the idea of us dropping from the show.
Nick I assure you though we did NOT drop for your sake or anyone elses preferences of bands. We don't give a fuck if someone hates or loves our music we just like to play. So with that being said good sir, I hope your still on board and I hope to see you on the 24th with a big ass goofy grin as usual.

Ok. Sorry, Nick. That was a communication error between Connor and I. I misinterpreted what he said last night, and I know I most likely blew things out of proportion with that massive tirade I went on here this morning. We would have loved you to play either way. Like I said, it slipped our minds and we were slapping our foreheads for that. But apparently, ToP is still sketchy on playing with only one guitar, etc. It's not the controversy or anything, I know that you know that I don't pull for that kind of shit, Nick. I love you, brotha and I (and I think everyone else) would love nothing more than for you and JD to rock our fucking socks off on the 24th!
Sorry again, I just really needed to blow some steam, and I apologize if I set anything else off, the last thing I want is for any anger, controversy, etc etc etc to get in the way of this being the most rockinest show EVAH!
