The darkness of some maxims is only relative:

Not all can be made understood to the one listening, which is perfectly clear to the speaking.

A wise monkey does not fool around with another monkey's monkey!

(My mother told me that one; I am still not sure what it means).

Dear John,

That is an old southern saying that originated with Black Americans. The original Monkey term is used in instead of woman. So, what your mom said is that a wise man does not mess with another man's woman.

Sure looks like one of the ten commandments to me, JimBob!

"Immortality" vs"Immmorality" here?

(Sorry, Jim, I simply couldn't resist!)

To the ones who haven't read this TH- thread:

Our Meister Jim misspells one of those words in the most revealing Freudian ways whenever we give him a chance to!!! LOL

Jaja...Jim...we know all about your evil ways now....

Hi Mystic,

"Sure looks like one of the ten commandments to me, JimBob!"
Yeah. Pretty much so, I would think.

""Immortality" vs"Immmorality" here?"
Hey, somebody else just did the same thing a few day ago as well. I'm not the only one. I do sometimes get the two mixed up though.

"(Sorry, Jim, I simply couldn't resist!)"
That's okay. I can take it. (Within limits, of course. You know.)

"To the ones who haven't read this TH- thread:
Our Meister Jim misspells one of those words in the most revealing Freudian ways whenever we give him a chance to!!! LOL"
And you can be pretty much assured that I will probably do it again.

"Jaja...Jim...we know all about your evil ways now...."
Well, I'm not sure they were evil but they sure were fun.

Peace & Love!

Dont´t hate your enemy, cause one day you may need to go to your enemies house and ask for help.

Ming tzu, guess what happened to me once....

THEN I really had a worst case scenario!!!! lol

I thought nothing could top that.

But then I fell in love with one of them, when I had an uncautious moment.

It's called "finally facing my Waterloo..."

ML

That was when I still needed enemies.

Yes, but as the Duke of Wellington or Napolean?

A sufi Meister walked in the street with his disciples, when a bunch of dirty dogs came running to the group, wagging their tails friendly, and all the disciples lifted their gowns and tried to ward off the dogs in order to not get dirty as well.

The Meister stood with his eyes closed, not moving.

Stunned , they asked him: "Why, Meister! You certainly don't seem to be afraid of getting dirty!"

The Meister said: "No, I don't want the dogs to get dirty by me."
