In Buddhism there's a legend about the thousand-hand bodhisattva- a bodhisattva is a person that has stayed behind to help people despite being able to reach nirvana themselves. But this bodhisattva felt that it was unable to help enough people with only two hands, and was therefore given one thousand hands to aid him/her. Thousand Hand Bodhisattva was just released.
