Has anybody had trouble getting into Tea House lately? I haven't been able to log in for 2 days - it keeps timing out. Is it me or is it Tea house?

Thanks,

Ed

Hi Ed,
No problem for me today. Try logging in at the Log in to check your private messages link. If that doesn't work, leave a message here and I will send a PM to Derek.

Ed, I just got kicked out twice. Then stayed in. Logged out again. Perhaps just stay logged in all the time? I usually never log out here, I just diminish the page.

Now somebody 's gonna tell me something awful, I can feel it in the air....but I never claimed I'm a compi-professional!

Hi Anna,
This is not something awful, just some more information about the Tea House. You will get logged out due to "inactivity". I don't know what the time period is but if you do not click on something for a certain amount of time you will be logged out.

Did you find out by yourself?

Nah...it can't be, Frank! Then it is a recent thing. I never ever used to log out in the TH or here, but since last week I do, for some reason, since I deleted all my bookmarks, and don't know why or how. (immeasurable loss...)

I always clicked on my bookmark, and was right in the TH , logged in. Since I log out when I leave, I have to log in once, or twice, or so.

I usually leave myself logged in to the Tea House and minimize the window while I go off and do other things online. I normally get back to check on new posts about every 10 - 15 minutes. Sometimes if I have not gotten back for a much longer time, when I do get back I find myself logged out. Now here at the Lounge, I have forgotten to logout at night and when I come back the next morning I am still logged on. My personal preference is to be logged out if there is a long period of inactivity. But that's just me.

Best regards,
Frank

No, I mean, I can't even get the site to load. taoism.net, form my computer is "down". it appears that is not true, but I cannot get the site to load. Can not get to a log in page. Just keeps sitting there and after a few minutes says, "Server timed out." Then says either the site is down or my computer is blocking it. Very wierd.....it's obviously on my end, so I'll have to ask my ISP.

Thanks.

I get an error message that says:

The connection has timed out

The server is taking too long to respond.
