I'm not sure what Logos is either but this wikipedia article also helps.

"In Christology, the conception that the Christ is the Logos (the Greek for "word", "wisdom", or "reason") has been important in establishing the doctrine of the divinity of Jesus Christ and his position as God the Son in the Trinity as set forth in the Chalcedonian Creed.
The conception derives from the opening of the Gospel of John: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Thanks. Now that makes sense.
Thanks also to you, Chris!

Posted April 4th, 2008 23:28 IP Riv said:" the challenge begins with all of us, in our own life it seems" The first thing you do to change the world around you is to change yourself.
What do you change? You begin my thinking of the things you want in your life and the feeling that you would have out of possessing them. You visualize them, extract the energy out of the "imaginary" possesion of them. You begin to work with them as if you had them and refine them. This is the beginning of trying to magnetize the things you want in your life.
Next, when you have thoughts that other people have programed you with of what you should have or what you deserve to have or even of who they told you you were, and see how they align with your higher purpose. If they seem negative or out of harmony, you simply send light to them, pat them on the head like a little child and send them on their way. All of the negative things coming in can either be transmuted into positive things, or you can become transparent to the negative things rather than taking them on your shoulders and becoming weakend by them.
In the piece realizing your true nature by Adyashanti, it is a cool thing to realize that our bodies are just vehicles much like a car is to our bodies. The real soul within us that exists on the material plane is like the tip of a pyramid sticking into water. The major part of us exists in its whole pure form on "the other side" as our higher selves and is in direct contact with the oneness of all of creation and the void. That place is where psychic communication comes from and where we can talk to our higher guides in out of body or dream planes. You can even remember previous lives and lessons there that will help you make the right decisions in this incarnation that will bring you even higher growth and with joy.

Posted July 1st, 2008 14:31 IP Many "talk the talk", but don't "walk the walk".
Difficult with so many conflicting ideologies in today's world.
If one is sensitive, the cross-currents we endure amongst the masses can cause tension and antagonism on a few levels.
Ignorance can be difficult to tolerate.
Energies can short circuit and we may feel as if we are under psychic attack.
Distractions can lead us off the path and we stamp our feet out of frustration.
Hence, the need for retreat from time to time.
Being a stubborn and fussy Libra born in the year of the Ox, I have volunteered to be a householder-sanyasin or Bodhisattva who has volunteered to tough it out in the suburbs in an attempt to blend in.
I prefer a more pragmatic and holistic approach. Therefore, I try to remain empty(open minded & receptive) incorporating faith as just one aspect of life.
Too many people aim too high and end up over confusing morals and ethics with day to day realities.
When it's all said, it's not done by a long shot.
The world is a frightful mess and their is much work to do.
It has taken many years for the human race to create this dilemma and let's not burn ourselves out trying to correct things.

Posted November 20th, 2008 21:38 IP "I think there is plenty of work, so we should all be busy with ourselves instead of with others."
I think by changing ourselves and practising living our inner teachings we change others who are ready to change just by embodying and living in that changed way (Lots of change jingling in there lol). I think our change in consciousness affects change within the collective consciousness.
There's no point in trying to change someone else I don't think and if we feel we need to it is probably because we are not accepting them the way they are which probably means there is something within ourselves we are not accepting. At least that is what I have found in my experience.
I think as Richard said that dealing with people as human beings is more likely to get a more effective outcome given that most people do not envisage a multidimentional reality and to set the conditions in which other people can make changes within themselves is more effective if you match them within their map of reality.
