On a superb batting track glen’s bowlers toiled for 45 overs, doing extremely well to restrict Stoke to 159-4 from their 45 overs, having been 75-0 from 22 overs. Keith Spray was the pick of the bowlers, battling injury to record figures of 3-34 from his 11 overs.
In response Glen were never really in trouble with Collis Smith (64) and Sodhi (51 n.o) putting on 110 for the opening wicket. Dave Ball (20 n.o) and Sodhi seeing Glen to 160-1 and a comfortable victory to clinch promotion with a game to spare
