2nd XI
Away to Ivanhoe
Glen won the toss and opted to field. A good opening spell from Dave Pitcher (1-18) and Jake Dutton (1-20) saw Ivanhoe restricted to 35-2 after 20 overs. However keeping their wickets in hand proved vital for Ivanhoe as they smashed 67 off the final 6 overs to post a challenging 188-8. Tim Andrews finished with 3-34, Gully 2-61 and Arpan 1-28.
Glen again didn’t get off to a great start, losing Sodhi in the 5th over and Collis in the 9th following some good bowling from their opener. Dave Ball soon followed and Glen were struggling at 27-3 after 12 overs. Arpan then hit a splendid 55, ably supported by Josh (10) and Lee Samuels (21). After Arpan was finally out (boy were Ivanhoe happy!) Peter Foster (16) and Dave Pitcher steadied the ship. At one point another dramatic run chase seemed on, but further wickets meant that it was left to Tim Andrews to survive the last two overs with Dave, who finished with 33 n.o to ensure a draw and glen remain in the hunt for a promotion place.
