Hi everyone,
Has anyone ever tried to send a letter telling your story on GT to Parents magazine?
I believe they have a session that it is called "Your life - voices"
Is anyone interested in writing something? I thought about trying myself but we could co-write something together. Any ideas?
Take care
Cris

I have not Cris but your story (and everyone else's) is just as compelling as mine! I encourage all of you to reach out to whatever resources you can...local news, national publications, national media outlets, etc. The more GT stories out there the better!

I sent a letter to the editor at Parenting magazine many years ago. It was in response to an article written about reporting suspected child abuse to the Department of Social Services. It was a few months after we were reported because of Peter's bruises (he was about 8 months old). I clipped it and have it somewhere, but basically it said that I wish the person who had reported us had simply said to me that they were concerned about the fact that my child had so many bruises. I'm sure there are parents out there who would be offended to be asked that question (and I probably wouldn't have been too happy) but I definitely would have understood the importance of explaining that my child was NOT abused. About a month later I invited a reporter from our local newspaper to our home so he could do an article and spread the word locally about GT. I would like to do that again during this upcoming high school swim season - not to brag here (OK, I'm bragging here!) but Peter has gotten his name and picture in the sports section because of swimming and I think it would be a great opportunity to spread the word again. Of course I haven't run this by Peter yet -- we'll see!
