It seems that in my quest for knowledge about Freemasonry, the deeper I delve into it, the Kabbalah is always somewhere in the background of my research.
I feel this is the path
These are my thoughts.

The Qabalah is closely connected to Masonry. For example, "the point within the circle'" is one of the names of Keter. It goes together with the "point within the triangle" and the "point within the square"
Non-qabalist Masons however ascribe some pretty silly meanings.

Howdy, Brethren- new guy here.
"Mind- boggling" is an understatement, Bro. Rick. The best introductory book I've read on the subject is "Mystical Qabalah" by Dion Fortune. Keep in mind it's written by a "practical" qabalist.
One of the things that makes such a seemingly simple glyph so complex is that there are about a jillion different ways of looking at the Sephiroth, primarily in relation to each other.
Study, study, study. Not sure I've got enough time left in this incarnation.

By "pretty silly" do you mean the meanings assigned to the circumpunct in the lectures?
