Oh sorry I thought this was the Star Wars thread - nevermind

Posted October 7th, 2010 06:14 PM IP As Satan is a Controlled Deity and only has the ability to go and manipulate and effect what God allows(according to the Holy Bible) and may not be a supreme being per say, but if the one who chooses to believe in Satan applies this belief to the spread of love and goodness than I suppose it could constitute a viable choice of a Supreme Being to follow as long as this belief adhered to other Masonic principles.

Posted October 7th, 2010 06:33 PM IP If one believes in a Supreme Being what is this Beings counter part?
What of one who journey's into the dark to find the light?
A belief in Satan does not mean that the follower seeks out pain and destruction.
Someone in the guise of good can just as well work evil deeds as easily as that of a man who wears a cloak of evil can be inherently good but disguises himself to avoid persecution by the evil that lurks in all men?
Mayhap ones journey has lead him through dark times and being able to see both sides of any coin in my opinion is viable.
On the flip side however a man who claims to follow Satan and is inherently evil does not meet the criteria for any Temple I have ever seen or attended, but my experience is limited.

Posted February 14th, 2013 12:03 AM IP Hi, I am new to this forum and, new to forums in general.
But I would like to say that I agree with brother Skiedhu on there not being a Satan although, I would like to make this point.
If you called your God Lucifer, I don't see a problem there. Lucifer was a Roman god, a sort of counterpart to Venus.
Lucifer is said to be the light bearer and as the Roman god, (Before Christianity changed his character to that of God's adversary and thus cast out of Heaven) He wanted to bring "light" to humanity, which is essentially good!
There's a lot of politics though!!!

Ephesians 6:12
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
How would we test such a statement?
Is belief that such dark powers do not exist a sufficient protection in itself?
Could such dark powers influence humans to believe that those powers do not exist? A stealth strategy?
