I jump out of my bed, get dressed, and head out the door.
Good thing I said my goodbyes to my family last night. I will have no more delays starting on my journey!
And with that, I trip over my untied shoelace.

"Professor Oak, I have a question. Not to spoil your thunder, but haven't there already been manmade Pokemon before? If I'm right, I think you might be forgetting about say...Porygon, Porygon 2, and Mewtwo. But, in any case, I'd still like for you to demonstrate what your 'Pokemon' can do...

You enter the gates and discover the origin of the aura: it appears that the main paths of the city (and practically the entire border) are lined with green lights. There is also a plethora of people around. Some are gathering in the Trainer House, some are journeying towards the Indigo Plateau, and others seem to be doing senseless acts of partying.
Yep, something's going on... you just know not what.
